Founded in Damascus in 1976.
Kahale International Group holds and develops the Kahale family's interests across Syria's construction, property and consumer sectors. The Group began in 1976 with the architecture and engineering practice founded in Damascus by engineer and architect Riad Kahale.
In 1979 the family founded its first company outside Syria, in Kuwait, working in consultancy, design, construction, interior fit out and home furnishing. From the mid-2000s the Group added real estate development, ready-mix concrete supply, project management and hospitality. In 2007 it also entered fashion retail under licence from an international fashion group, and within two years operated ten stores across four Syrian cities.

Timeline
- 1976Architecture and engineering practice founded in Damascus.
- 1979First company outside Syria founded in Kuwait.
- 2007Real estate development begins with the establishment of Urban Development Group, alongside other partners.
- 2008Ready-mix concrete plant established in Damascus through the founding of Damask Ready-Mix Concrete.
- 2021Catering business launched in Kuwait under the brand Elio.
- 2026Multiple new projects and investments underway at the dawn of Syria's reconstruction phase.
